چکیده
The study aims to construct a framework for CPT based ultimate pile capacity calculation cohesionless soils with random field theory. Cone tip resistance (qc) was taken as the spatially varying parameter constant mean and changing coefficients of variation. profiles were simulated generations, single (Qu) calculated these simulations. influence spatial variation qc on Qu investigated. proposed finally verified by comparing results an actual database in study. showed that critical vertical scale fluctuation CPT-based calculations equal one diameter (dv=1D), method effectively predicted through field. is especially recommended cases where uncertainty consideration necessary, yet site-specific data limited. contribute simple methods unceratinty consideration. propesed facilitate design limited available data.

Vertical Vibration Analysis of Soil-pile Interaction Systems Considering the Soil-pile Interface Behavior
A numerical method is presented herein to study soil-pile interaction systems in a stratified media. The method is based on a coupling of the finite element method and the boundary element method. The near field is modeled by the finite elements whereas the far field is modeled by the boundary dement formulation using the multi-layer dynamic fimdamental solution that satisfies the radiation con...
متن کامل2d Model Study on Slip Surface around Belled Anchor Pile under Uplift in Cohesionless Soil
The belled anchor pile has proficient application in the field of geotechnical engineering as because its enlarged base can bear more compressive loads and large volume of breakout soil within slip surface move upward under tension. The bell anchor pile can be used in case of on-land and off-shore structures where there is a threat to overturning of structures due to external tension loads. The...
متن کاملEvaluation of reliability index and safety factors for pile load capacity estimation using CPT results
The reliability index is an important reliability parameter that is necessary for the development of reliability-based geotechnical design. Both the factor of safety (FS) and the reliability index (β) represent safety margin of structures against either failure or limit state. In this study, the reliability index is analyzed and evaluated in reference to the factor of safety currently adopted i...
متن کاملSpatial variability of some soil properties for site specific farming in northern Iran
Evaluating agricultural land management practices requires knowledge of soil spatial variability and understanding their relationships. Spatial distributions for fourteen soil physical and chemical properties were examined in a wheat field in Sorkhankalateh district, in Golestan province, Iran. 101 soil samples at the distances of 5m, 10m and 20m as nested grid were collected at the depth of 0-...
متن کاملLaterally loaded rigid piles in cohesionless soil
In this paper, limiting force profile for laterally loaded rigid piles in sand and is differentiated from the on-pile force profile, from which elastic-plastic solutions are established and presented in explicity expressioins. Nonlinear responses of the piles are characterized by slip depths mobilized from mudline and the pile-tip. At the states of tip-yield and rotation point yield, expression...
